This site is dedicated to Šung'manitu-tanka, Lakota (great/large wolf) for the Great Plains or Buffalo Wolf, that became extinct by 1926. It will contain a very detailed account of Canis Lupes, the Timber or Gray Wolf, to include factual revelations of this often misunderstood yet magnificent creature currently standing at the brink of extinction on the endangered species list. Special emphasis will be placed on his special relationship to Native American culture.
